Wax Warmer

I’ll be looking at this as a daily journal about what I’m up to as far as pottery goes. I think this will be a really cool way to document my work and how I progress over time. Also a great way to be able to do side by sides of the different stages that the pieces goes through.

Today over my lunch break I finished up with this wax warmer. I threw both of these yesterday (Halloween) and cut the hole where the candle goes today. I honestly had a really hard time cutting the hole. I couldn’t find a knife so I ended up having to use some of the carving tools. I would have liked the opening to be a little bit more precise. For a first attempt I think It looks pretty good though. With future wax warmers I think I’ll try and make the bowl on top a little shorter as well.
